The rootzone is the foundation of a great green — get it wrong and no amount of agronomic management will produce the firm, fast, true surfaces that golfers and greenkeepers aspire to.

Rootzone construction involves the precise specification and installation of an engineered sand and soil mixture, layered with drainage aggregates to USGA or similar specification. AGC has constructed rootzones on championship greens across Ireland and Europe, including the sub-air greens at Adare Manor, bringing the technical knowledge and construction precision that rootzone work demands.
