This was AGC’s first major undertaking, and the first of its kind on a links course in Ireland. AGC re-built and re-surfaced each of the original 18 greens on Ballybunion Old Course.

The turf was grown onsite during the project, which began in October of 2015. The course was open for play at the end of March 2016.

Eighteen new tee boxes were also constructed, along with new grass paths, walk-ways, and a complete overhaul of the bunkers.
