Atlantic Golf Construction carries out hollow core aeration on golf greens across Ireland, one of the most effective techniques for addressing compaction, improving drainage and renovating putting surfaces. Hollow core aeration removes a core of material from the green profile, creating channels for topdressing sand to be worked in, improving the rootzone composition and drainage characteristics over time.

Hollow core aeration is typically carried out as part of an autumn renovation programme, giving greens the best opportunity to recover before the main playing season. AGC plans and executes hollow core programmes to deliver maximum agronomic benefit, working with course management teams to minimise disruption and ensure greens recover as quickly as possible.
